Nishant: Govt committed to quick grievance resolution
Patna: State health minister Nishant Kumar on Wednesday participated in the JD(U)’s ‘Jan Sunwai’ programme at the party’s state office here, marking his first direct public grievance hearing since assuming office.
Accompanied by transport minister Damodar Rawat and disaster management minister Ratnesh Sada, Nishant interacted with a large number of petitioners who had arrived from different districts seeking resolution of their problems.
During the programme, Nishant listened to grievances one by one and issued necessary instructions to the officials concerned for their lawful and timely disposal. He assured the petitioners that the govt was committed to ensuring transparent and swift resolution of public grievances.
Nishant said the state govt remained fully committed to addressing the concerns of common people and programmes like ‘Jan Sunwai’ had become an effective platform for strengthening communication between the public and the govt.
Damodar and Ratnesh also heard complaints related to their respective departments and initiated steps for resolving them.
The JD(U)’s ‘Jan Sunwai’ programme functions through a rotational roster under which a group of three ministers conducts hearings five days a week to ensure time-bound and inter-departmental action on public grievances.
