SIWAN: Siwan district and session judge Pratap Singh has served a show-cause notice on Barharia police station incharge Ram Bahadur Mahto on the charges of defying the court orders.
According to reports, hearing an anticipatory bail petition, the district judge had stayed the arrest of four accused in a kidnapping case. But defying the court order, the police station in-charge arrested two of them — Arbind Tiwary and Munna Tiwary — and produced them before the court of CJM on April 21.
In the light of the order of the district judge in this regard, the CJM released them.
After he came to know this, the district judge served a show-cause notice on the Barharia police station in-charge on April 22.
According to reports, a minor girl of Kurua village was kidnapped in February and her father, Dina Prasad, had lodged a case against Madan Mohan Tiwary, Arbind Tiwary, Munna Tiwary and Priyanka Devi of the same village. The accused had filed an anticipatory bail petition against this in which an stay order passed.
