Dr Malvika Pradhan passes away

PUNE: Dr Malvika Pradhan, wife of veteran socialist leader G P Pradhan, passed away in the city at 7 am on Wednesday, July 16. She was 77. According to a press note, Dr Pradhan, had been ailing for the last two months.
Dr Pradhan married G P Pradhan, in the year 1950 and pursued a degree in ayurveda after her marriage. She was a medical practitioner since 1965.
Dr Pradhan, had done significant social work in her village of Aathone near Pali, where she started a medical clinic for adivasis 20 years ago.Not only did she equip the clinic with free medicines from Pune, but also spent five days of the month at the village serving the adivasis.
As per her wishes, her eyes were donated after her death. Dr Pradhan was cre-mated at the Vaikunth crematorium on Wednesday afternoon.
