PUNE: Two chain-snatchers on a motorcycle intercepted a two-wheeler rider, thrashed him up and stole his gold chain worth Rs 30,000. The incident took place on Sahavas society road at Karvenagar, around 11.30 pm on Friday.
According to the Kothrud police, Sushilkumar Mohan Prasad (26), a resident of Warje Malwadi, was returning home on his two-wheeler when unidentified persons riding a motorcycle intercepted him and pulled out the ignition key of his vehicle.
The suspects allegedly dragged Prasad under a tree and beat him up before forcibly snatching his 15-gram gold chain and fled.
Prasad has registered a complaint of robbery and wrongful confinement against the suspects under sections 394 and 341 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code. No arrests have been made as yet.
