Man booked for setting ablaze his younger brother’s house
Pune: Talegoan MIDC police have registered a case of attempt to murder and mischief by fire to cause injury against a 42-year-old man from Mhalunge in Khed taluka after he set ablaze his younger brother’s house at Sudumbre village in Maval around 3.30am on Sunday. The younger brother (41), a shopkeeper, lodged a complaint with the Talegaon MIDC police later on Sunday afternoon.
According to the police, the shopkeeper and his family members were asleep in their house when the elder brother came to the younger brother’s house and threw petrol on the house, a single storey house, and set it ablaze. No one was injured in the fire as the family members managed to flee from the kitchen window, police said. But the fire damaged doors, sofa set other furniture and electrical appliances.
