Pune: Man booked for stalking, harassment

PUNE: The Alandi police are investigating a 34-year-old woman's complaint stating that an unidentified person created her profile on a social media platform and posted lewd comments about her. She was alerted by her relative.
Police said the man had been harassing the woman for the past one year. She approached the police on Saturday when the suspect started pressuring her to contact him and posted threatening messages on his social media profile when she did not respond.
“He posted obscene matter on the woman’s profile, claiming them as conversations,” said the officer.The police have booked him on the charge of sexual harassment and under the relevant sections of the IT Act.
