Of tigers and lilies

it was an eventful friday evening at the peshwa (holiday inn). bustling with activity, the elite club for women, tiger lily, had gathered, for a talk by pramiti madhavji of elle decor. the venue had been converted into a colourful display area with designs for dining table and bedroom layouts. madhavji spoke about small space solutions, and made it more interesting with the help audio-visual aids.this was followed by an inter-active session where the members formed groups and worked on projects. each group was given a layout of a room with samples and swatches and had to create a solution, which was later adjudged by a panel com-prising pramiti madhavji, tiger lily member seema malhotra and proprietor of suraj, ruby jhunjhunwala. the winning team comprised alpana kirloskar, tanya mirchandani and priya gupta. another interesting event was the display by tripti agarwal who demonstrated the art of soot painting while manoeuvring a paper on the candle flame. as we said earlier, it was an eventful evening.
