RAIPUR: The second phase of NEET-UG 2025 counselling for MBBS and BDS courses in Chhattisgarh began on Saturday, with new registrations open till September 17 and college choice filling available until September 18. The Directorate of Medical Education has allowed upgradation for already admitted students and advised candidates to rely only on the official portal, cautioning against agents and fraudulent assurances. The last date for new registrations for eligible candidates in this phase has been set for September 17. The last date for selecting institutions for admission to government and private medical and dental colleges in the state is 18 September 2025. This facility will also be available for previously registered eligible candidates. In addition, an option for upgradation has also been provided to students who have already been admitted. Candidates can check all counselling-related information, the list of vacant seats and other details on the official website of the directorate, www.cgdme.in. The detailed schedule and the seat allotment process will be published after the National Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) issues a new programme.
Seats will be allotted by the state-level counselling committee purely on the basis of merit. The Directorate of Medical Education has advised all candidates not to participate in the counselling process through any unauthorised person, agent or organisation. It has also urged them to be vigilant against any kind of false promises or fraud.
