RAIPUR: Amid a political row over viral sex video clip, purportedly of a minster, Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh said “its height of moral degeneration in politics”.
“There is no point in such politics. I am pained at the low level of politics. It’s a matter of concern that we have stooped to such a level”, he was quoted as saying after a row erupted following the arrest of senior Journalist
Vinod Verma and the subsequent release of a sex video clip, purportedly involving state PWD Minister Rajesh Munat.
After the sex clip went viral and reported seizure of copies of its CD from the house of senior Journalist Vinod Verma in
Ghaziabad, the ruling
BJP in Chhattisgarh has dismissed the video as “doctored” alleging that the opposition
Congress was behind it in an attempt for character assassination and tarnish the image of BJP and its government.
“It’s the height of moral degeneration in politics. Am surprised at the ways and means being adapted for grabbing power. Such actions need to be condemned”, the chief minister added.
