Bank Employee Found Dead in Locked Room in Bokaro's Gomia
Bokaro: A 38-year-old bank employee was found dead inside his locked rented accommodation near the Gomia Railway Station Road in Gomia area of Bokaro district on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Vinay Kumar Singh Choudhary, a native of Kandra village under the Pindrajora police station limits.
He used to work as a customer service assistant at the bank’s Gomia branch.
Branch manager Dalchand Kumar Mahto said, “The branch cash keys was with Choudhary. Repeated phone calls went unanswered, prompting staff to visit his residence. They found the room locked from inside. Despite repeated knocks and calls, there was no response.”
The branch manager and other bank employees reached the spot. They pushed open the door and found Choudhary lying dead on the bed inside the room, sources said.
“Condition of the room and the body raises doubts,” a family member alleged.
Bermo SDPO Ravindra Kumar said, “Police are investigating all possible angles. The exact cause of death will be known after the postmortem report is received.”
