Hazaribag: The district election officer-cum-DC Shashi Prakash Singh and SP Anjani Anjan on Sunday inspected the dispatch centre set up at St Columba’s College to review preparedness as polling for the Hazaribag Municipal Corporation election is scheduled for Monday.
During the inspection, the DC interacted with the polling personnel and took stock of arrangements related to the distribution of election material. He reviewed the process of verification, the matching of material by polling teams and examined the procedure for opening and sealing ballot boxes. Later, he issued necessary instructions to ensure adherence to protocols.
Singh also directed officials and staff to strictly follow prescribed guidelines and maintain transparency so that the polling process was conducted smoothly and without disruption. “All procedures must be completed as per protocol. There should be no lapses at any level,” he said.
SP Anjani Anjan also reviewed the security arrangements in and around the dispatch centre to ensure the safe movement of polling parties and equipment.
After the inspection, the DC briefed media representatives about the ongoing activities at the centre and appealed to the voters to participate enthusiastically in the civic polls and exercise their franchise.
