Official gets 3-yr RI for bribe

Ranchi: Special CBI judge of Dhanbad has convicted Anil Kumar Singh, former assistant labour commissioner (central), Dhanbad and sentenced him to undergo three years rigorous imprisonment with Rs 15,000 fine.
CBI had registered a case on in May 2002 after complaint that he had demanded Rs 5,000 for processing payments of the claim of gratuity amount of complainant's father and mother.A trap was laid and the accused was caught red-handed while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs 3,750 from the complainant.
The trial court found the accused guilty and convicted him.In another development, CBI arrested project manager of mineral exploration corporation limited Dhanbad for accepting a bribe of Rs 13,000.
