Ranchi: Suspended IAS officer Pooja Singhal would move the high court to secure more documents related to the case lodged against her by the
Enforcement Directorate in connection with the MNREGA scam and money laundering.
The court had on February 8 rejected Singhal’s petition for additional documents.
On Thursday, as Singhal appeared before the special PMLA court for framing of charges against her, advocate on her behalf prayed that they were moving the HC against lower court order.
Senior advocate Vishwajit Mukherjee said, “The PMLA court fixed another date for framing the charges after we informed it about the decision regarding securing the documents.”
Singhal who is an accused in Rs 18-crore MNREGA scam is out on a two-month bail. TNN
