JAMSHEDPUR: Almost two weeks after a land broker was shot dead, the prime accused,
Manish Singh, surrendered before a local court here on Friday.
Ajay Shau alias Tinku, the land broker who was also allegedly involved in illegal betting, was shot dead on July 29 at Sonari in Steel City when he was returning home after dropping his son at school. Four bike-borne shooters had fired at Sahu from a close range, killing him on the spot.
Police had arrested nine people in connection with the murder and seized six firearms from them. Of the nine arrested, one person, identified as Guddu Goswami from Galudih area of East Singhbhum, had told the police that he was hired by
Manish to kill Sahu.
