Police on Tuesday arrested a man for administering wrong injection leading to the death of a 30-year-old youth at Pipradih, under Petarwar police station here.

Bokaro: Police on Tuesday arrested a man for administering wrong injection leading to the death of a 30-year-old youth at Pipradih, under Petarwar police station here. DSP, Bermo, Neeraj Kumar said that they have arrested Praveen Kumar Shankar in connection with the death of Naresh Kumar. Shankar is a quack in rural belt of Petarwar.
Police have lodged FIR in this connection based on the complaint of Manilal Kumar, father of the deceased.
The incident occurred when Manilal called Shankar for treatment of his son who was in pain after developing a boil on his right leg.
"We had asked Shankar to give him some medicine, but he insisted on injection. A few minutes after being injected, my son fainted. As his condition deteriorated, we rushed him to a private hospital in Jainamoad where doctors declared him brought dead," said Manilal to the police.
Following his death, Manilal informed the police about the incident. DSP said that local police conducted raid and arrested Shankar from Piprataad. The accused is a resident of Jodadih Moad, Chas. "We are investigating the matter," he added.
