Xmas gathering at St Paul's

RANCHI: As Christmas approaches, the city is gearing up to celebrate. Almost every college and school has been organizing Christmas events since last week at different places in the city. Adding to the list, St Paul's College at Bahu Bazaar organized a Christmas gathering on its premises on Thursday.
Inaugurating the event, the retired Rev B B Baskey of Church of North India (CNI) said, "A Christmas gathering not only unites people, it also enriches faith.It spreads love and teaches students the moral values of humanity. In recent times I have seen the youth divert from their life's aims and be attracted towards sinful activities. It is time they understood what is good for them and devote themselves to the service of humanity."
The excitement of students was palpable. Sudhakar Topno a student said, "I love these gatherings as I get an opportunity and a platform to show my talent. I get connected to my spiritual side through carol singing, and also get a chance to meet various people. "
On this occasion, principal of St. Paul's College, Prof. Ajay Bakhla said, "It is a day when we are united in spreading the message of love and humanity. Through this we also inform people about the arrival of Lord Jesus."
Carols, dances and skits were performed at the gathering.
