Muslims offer ‘seer’ varisai and annadhanam to Hindu devotees

Krishnagiri: On Monday, Muslims presented ‘seer varisai’ and annadhanam to devotees at a Hindu temple near Pochampalli, promoting religious harmony and unity.
The villagers of Vadamatlampatty had renovated the Sri Kanda Mariamman temple, with the consecration taking place on Sunday. Following this, the temple authorities and local devotees organized an annadhanam event on Monday.
M Murugan, a villager, said, “Our village is home to both Hindus and Muslims.” He emphasized that the Muslim community was eager to contribute by providing annadhanam and ‘seer varisai’ to Sri Kanda Mariamman.
Muslims participated in a procession, conducted a special puja, and had the opportunity to have darshan of the deity. Subsequently, they served annadhanam to the attendees.
Abdul Rahman, another villager, remarked, “This initiative reflects our commitment to religious unity and communal harmony.” He also mentioned that Hindus reciprocate by offering annadhanam and offering needed materials during Muslim festivals like Ramzan.
