Mizoram staff attendance cut by 50 per cent

The Mizoram government on Friday issued an office memorandum instructing all heads of state government departments and offices to ensure that only 50% of Group B, C & D employees of the state government attend office every day and the rest should work from home to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

AIZAWL: The Mizoram government on Friday issued an office memorandum instructing all heads of state government departments and offices to ensure that only 50% of Group B, C & D employees of the state government attend office every day and the rest should work from home to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The heads of departments and offices have been advised to draft a weekly duty roster of Group B, C and D staff and ask them to attend office on alternate weeks.

Officials working from home on a particular day as per the roster should be available on telephone and electronic means of communication at all times and they should be prepapred to attend office if called for work.
The office memorandum said the instructions issued for the well-being of employees of the Government of Mizoram and in the interest of public health and safety would be applicable with immediate effect and would remain in force till April 4, 2020.
In the meanwhile, a joint surveillance committee on COVID-19 was constituted in Aizawl to systematize and regulate shops, vegetable and meat markets across the city in view of the coronavirus threat.
