BJP leaders insulting Himachal for political gains: Min
Shimla: Himachal Pradesh rural development and panchayati raj minister Anirudh Singh on Tuesday accused the BJP leaders of disrespecting the hill state across the country for electoral gains.
The BJP leaders are undermining the dignity of 75 lakh people of the state by spreading lies and engaging themselves in petty politics aimed at misleading the public for political mileage, he said.
The minister claimed that the state govt had surpassed its promises in its two-year tenure. Five out of 10 commitments have already been fulfilled and the remaining promises were being implemented in a phased manner, Anirudh Singh added.
The minister advised the opposition to engage constructively in the development of the state, instead of focusing on criticism and sensationalism merely to gain headlines.
Listing state govt’s achievements, Anirudh Singh said from restoring the old pension scheme for 1.36 lakh employees to fulfilling promises like providing a minimum support price (MSP) for natural produces and offering monthly assistance for women, the Congress govt had prioritised the people over politics.
