MANALI: Joining the Himachal Pradesh assembly election campaign trail for his party,
BJP’s MP from Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal has been camping in Lahaul-Spiti for some days now.
Lahaul-Spiti shares a border with Ladakh and even the culture and language of the people is almost similar. A Buddhist, Namgyal has been visiting villages and monasteries of the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti.
“After visiting Miyar, Udaipur and many other places in Lahaul sub-division, I reached Spiti valley on Thursday for an election campaign. People are very happy with the work done by the BJP government. I’m assuring them of all possible support from the Centre. A large number of projects have been sanctioned for this district and people will definitely vote for Markanda to get advantage of the double-engine government,” said Namgyal, popularly known as JTN.
