Kullu: Presiding over an ambassadors’ meet at the Kullu Dussehra festival here Friday, chief minister
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu invited global investors to invest in the state.
The ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Brunei and representatives from Russia and Guyana are the guests of honour at the festival.
Welcoming them, Sukhu said it was his pleasure to share with them the vision of Himachal Pradesh. “Our govt aims to make Himachal Pradesh self-reliant by 2027 and one of the most prosperous states in the country by 2032. We are also committed to transforming Himachal into a green energy state by March 31, 2026 and transformative decisions are being taken to achieve these ambitious targets,” he said.
With this, he called for investments in tourism, green energy, data storage, food processing and other sustainable sectors.
Talking of Kullu’s place on the tourism map, he said it draws hordes of visitors from India and outside because of its picturesque landscapes and serene valleys. “Our govt is committed to promoting tourism not only in Kullu, but throughout the state. In keeping with this, Kangra has been declared as the tourism capital of Himachal Pradesh. Key infrastructure projects, including a Rs 619 crore zoological park in Bankhandi, is under way to boost tourism in the region,” he added.
