SURAT: An unidentified man looted Rs 6.83 lakh from Surat District Cooperative Bank at Kadodara GIDC crossroad on Monday. The robber was carrying a gun and he locked the outer grill of the bank while leaving.
At around 4.15pm, the man entered with a gun and put it on the throat of the bank manager
Dhaval Patel. He demanded the cash and left on being handed. Along with the manager, two women and a male peon were present in the bank.
“The entire incident is suspicious. We are investigating the case and it will be detected at the earliest,” said Hitesh Joysar, superintendent of police, Surat.
