Kalwa: Sachin Mhatre, former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) corporator is on the run and evading arrest as the Kalwa police have booked him in a case of firing in the region.
Police sources said that Mhatre had a fight with a local cattle shed owner in Kalwa. On Sunday evening the duo had a heated argument and subsequently Mhatre fired one round on his rival.

The police have registered a case against Mhatre, his father Jairam and six others.
“The law enforcing agency has made two arrests (including Jairam) in this case. But the main culprit and others accompanying him are on the run,” a senior police official said.
