Maharashtra: 28 students, 2 staffers of Bhiwandi school test positive for Covid-19

KALYAN: Twenty-eight students and two staff members of

Chimbipada Ashram School

in

Bhiwandi

taluka of Maharashtra's Thane sistrict have tested positive for coronavirus.

The officials said there are 23 girls, 5 boys and two employees who have contracted Covid-19.

The students had complained of cold and fever post which they were examined at Chimbipada Primary Health Centre. Rapid antigen tests of 198 students were conducted and 30 people tested positive.

Kailash Pawar

, district health surgeon, said that all 30 patients have been kept under observation at the district health centre hospital in the area.
