Maharashtra minister Jitendra Awhad goes into self-quarantine

Maharashtra housing minister Jitendra Awhad has reportedly gone into self-quarantine on Monday after he came into contact with an infected person recently.

THANE: Maharashtra housing minister Jitendra Awhad has reportedly gone into self-quarantine on Monday after coming into contact with a Covid positive cop.
It is learnt that Awhad had come into contact with the cop from the city following which the minister is believed to have quarantined himself as a precautionary measure.
A party colleague said the minister was at home and overseeing the food distribution work in his constituency but was unable to confirm if he had quarantined himself.

It may be noted, he was repeatedly urging residents from his constituency to stay indoors and prevent corona transmission.
Text messages and calls made to Awhad for a confirmation remained unanswered.
