Indian Association of Sharjah seeks pro-student decision on CBSE Class XII exams in the UAE

Thiruvananthapuram: Indian Association of Sharjah (IAS) wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting a pro-student approach towards Indian students writing CBSE Class XII exams in the UAE, since the exams were postponed following the conflict in Middle East."With approximately nine to 10 examinations still pending across various streams, the current regional situation led to significant anxiety among the student community and their parents. In the representation, we highlighted that any disruption at this stage could have a direct impact on the smooth completion of academic assessments and subsequent higher education admissions, both within India and internationally," said Indian Association Sharjah president Nissar Thalangara. In the letter, he said that Union govt should consider a balanced and forward-looking approach to ensure that secondary education is completed without further stress or delay. "A timely and student-friendly decision is vital to ensure that admission windows for universities worldwide remain accessible to the UAE-based Indian students." He also said that the local govt gave an early spring vacation until the end of the month. In many other countries, including Bahrain, schools switched to online classes because of the attacks from Iran. As the situation is difficult, parents feel that central govt should take a decision that will benefit school students in Middle East.
