Review meet held for Ente Keralam fair preps

T'puram: As part of state govt's fourth-anniversary celebrations, a review meeting of sub-committees was held in connection with the Ente Keralam exhibition and sales fair on Monday. This event is set to be organized at Kanakakunnu Palacefrom May 17 to 23. The meeting, chaired by education minister V Sivankutty, took place in the collectorate conference hall, with members from 13 committees attending.Officials informed the meeting that 80% of the work on the stalls was completed and that they could be handed over by Wednesday morning. The minister instructed the officials to complete all arrangements and expedite the handing over of the stalls. Among the total stalls, there are 161 service stalls and 89 commercial ones.Afood festival covering 7,500 sq ft will also be set up as part of the fair.The corporation authorities said that arrangements have been made to clean Kanakakunnu Palace and city roads and to install waste bins during the fair. A medical team and ambulance will be on standby 24 hours a day during the event. TNN
