Secular march

THIRUVANATHAPURAMA: secular march, which will mark the conclusion of the series of secular conventions organized by Janasree in the district, will be held at Sivagiri at 1pm on Wednesday. Former chief minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the event. Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate a secular convention to be held at Ayyankali Nagar, Venganoor, at 5.30 pm on Tuesday.
Book release: A book, 'Collection of Essays from Harinamakeertanam to King Lear' by late critic and writer B Hridayakumari will be released at a function to be held at Press Club at 5pm on Tuesday. Writer Sethu will release the book by handing over the first copy to chief secretary S M Vijayanand.
Kathakali performance: Thunchan Smaraka Samiti will organize a Kathakali performance at 6.30pm on Wednesday at its centre at Manacaud as part of Vidyarambham celebrations.
Bharatanatyam
performance: Meenakshi Sreenivasan will perform bharatanatyam at Co-Bank Auditorium at 6.45pm on Tuesday as part of the Soorya Festival.
T Radha Amma
commemoration: Kerala Mahila Sangham observed the 40th death anniversary of T Radha Amma at Joint Council Hall on Monday. Sangham state secretary P Vasantham inaugurated the meeting.
Tata crucible corporate quiz: Jis Sebastin and Feny Joy from Tresreis Technologies emerged winners at the district regional round of 13th edition of 'Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2016'.
Karshaka award: The Karshaka awards instituted by Kerala Karshaka Pensioners Centre will be presented in an event to be held at Kollam on October 21. CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran will present the awards. Editor of Kerala Karshakan Suresh Muthukulam, Sanghamaithri chairman R Balachandran Nair and journalist Ashtamudi Ravikumar will receive the awards.
