Six-day ‘Aikya 2026’ camp to begin tomorrow
T'puram: The annual state-level residential camp of student police cadet (SPC) project, titled ‘Aikya 2026', will begin at VPS Malankara Higher Secondary School in Venganoor, on Wednesday. The six-day camp will conclude with a ceremonial parade.Organized by Kerala Police, the camp is one of the flagship initiatives of SPC project and will bring together 939 cadets selected from various districts across the state. This year's camp theme is gender inclusivity, focusing on promoting equality and social awareness among students. A series of programmes aimed at personality development, leadership skills and social commitment have been planned as part of the residential camp. During the sessions, cadets will interact with civil service officers, cultural personalities, media professionals and film actors. The camp will also feature gender inclusivity sessions, led by women and child development department, and health awareness classes. TNN
