Udaipur: A 16-year-old boy was brutally stabbed to
death by two of his cousins in full public view in the busy Dholi Bawadi area under Surajpole police station of Udaipur on Friday night, police said on Saturday. The murder was said to be the result of a longstanding feud.
Rohin was allegedly stabbed four times with a knife by two youths, identified as Sabir (22) and Ayaan (23), who are his cousins.
According to Surajpol police station SHO Sunil Charan, the stabbing followed an altercation that took place when Rohin, who was accompanied by his friends, had stopped at a paan shop to buy gutkha. “Sabir and Ayaan arrived there in a car and confronted Rohin over an unresolved dispute. The heated exchange escalated, and the accused stabbed Rohin with a knife, inflicting fatal wounds on his chest. Despite efforts by his friends to intervene, the attackers assaulted Rohin repeatedly,” said Charan. As his friends ran away to save themselves, a profusely bleeding Rohin was rushed by locals to Maharana Bhupal Hospital, where he died during treatment, said the SHO. tnn
