Udaipur: A 20-year-old cement factory worker died after falling from a 200-foot-high boiler at the factory in Dabok police station area of Udaipur. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning at the factory in Naharmagra Bajaj Nagar on Dabok-Mavali Road.The victim, Gajendra Gameti from Merta, was working on the boiler when he lost his balance and fell. He was immediately taken to hospital but doctors there declared him as dead.Family members and people from Gameti’s village demanded compensation from the company, leading to a protest that lasted about an hour. The situation was resolved after police intervention, negotiations and an agreement for compensation. tnn
