Vidyanagar student among two take part in RKVS

This student, Jagrat, from Gujarat, was one of two students from Gujarat to participate in the 108th Indian Science Congress (ISC) held in Nagpur, India in January. Jagrat showcased a project based on herbal chocolate, which can augment kids' vision. The other student from Gujarat was Vriti Patel from Panchmahal.

Vadodara: Jagrat Prashant Bhatia, a student of class 8 at I B Patel English School at Vallabh Vidyanagar, was one of the two students who represented Gujarat at the Rashtriya Kishore Vaigyanik Sammelan (RKVS) session during the 108th Indian Science Congress (ISC) held in Nagpur in January fist week. The other student from Gujarat was Vriti Patel from Panchmahal.

Jagrat showcased a project based on herbal chocolate. Under the mentorship of Hitesh Solanki, Jagrat had prepared a bar of herbal chocolate that can augment kids’ vision.
“There are several kids who are suffering from blurred vision due to endless reasons but this project is not less than a boon for them,” said Bindu Senthilnath, principal of I B Patel English School, managed by Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM). “CVM chairman Bhikhubhai Patel, vice-president Manish Patel, honorary secretary Dr S G Patel and Community Science Centre coordinator Dr Vibha Vaishnav supported Jagrat’s work,’’ she said.
RKVS is an integral part of ISC and is dedicated to child scientists in the age group of 10-17 years. The session allows young scientists to showcase their mini research work.
