Varanasi: A group of Muslims took out a symbolic funeral procession of Turkiye and Pakistan under the banner of
Vishal Bharat Sansthan in Lamahi area on Sunday.
During the procession, which started from the Netaji Subhash Temple in the Lamahi area, the participants carried effigies of both the nations and raised slogans against them for supporting terrorists.The participants, including Afroz Pandey, Afsar Baba, Naushad Dubey, Shahabuddin Tiwari, and Liaqat Ali stated that the souls of the countries supporting terrorists are dead, hence, the funeral procession was taken out. The procession, led by religious leader Afsar Baba and Shahabuddin, who held pitchers, moved on the roads of Lamahi village before performing symbolic funeral rituals. Rajeev Shriguruji, mentioned that while India sent medicine and food to save the lives of Turkish people at the time earthquake, the same Turkiye was fuelling Pakistan's armoury to destroy India. "We do not wish to maintain any relationship with such a Turkiye. Both Pakistan and Turkiye support terrorists and should be completely boycotted. Citizens have now decided on a total boycott," he said.
Jaunpur's Naushad Ahmed Dubey termed Turkiye as deceitful and said that it was in its nature to betray.
Archana Bharatvanshi, Najma Parveen, Abdurrahman, Ashad, Liaqat, Rais, Afroz Ahmed, Sameer Khan, Sameer Ullah Khan, Jameel Khan, Naseem Khan, Satyam Rai, and Kaleemuddin among others took part in the protest.
