VARANASI: As many as 43 children participated in the painting competition organised by the department of culture, as part of the programme to observe the death anniversary of Munshi Premchand on Tuesday at his birth place Lamahi. It was followed by a discourse on 'Relevance of the Premchand's literature in the contemporary society'. The concluding lecture was delivered by incharge, regional cultural centre, Ratnesh Verma.
