NEW DELHI: The Andhra Pradesh government announced Rs 50 lakh ex-gratia and additional benefits to the family of soldier Mudavath Murali Naik, who died during cross-border shelling in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch. deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan visited Naik's home in Sri Sathyasai district on Sunday to pay tributes and personally contributed Rs 25 lakh.The state government's compensation package includes five acres of agricultural land, 300 square yards of housing land, and a government job for Naik's family pending cabinet discussion."Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced Rs 50 lakh ex-gratia, five acres of agricultural land, 300 square yards of land for housing to the family of Murali Naik. A government job will also be given to Naik's family after the Cabinet's discussion," Kalyan told reporters.IT Minister Nara Lokesh and other ministers paid floral tributes to Naik's mortal remains and offered condolences to his parents.
