TIRUPATI: The temple administration of the
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams floated a new trust Srivani, in a bid to boost up the propagation of the Hindu Sanathana Dharma and Sri Venkateswara bhati cult— by constructing Lord Venkateswara temples across the country.
TTD’s executive officer Anil Kumar Singhal held the first review meeting regarding Srivani trust at the administrative building in Tirupati. During the review meet senior officials of the temple administration led by Singhal elaborated upon the activities and objectives of the Sri Venkateswara Alaya Nirmanam trust.
Addressing the media, TTD EO said, “Srivani is the 10th trust floated by the temple administration and it has already received donations worth Rs 25 lakh from pilgrims, donors and also philanthropists.” He also said that the contributions to this trust will be utilised for construction of temples, their management, archaka training etc.
Singhal further said that details regarding donations and donors would be placed on the TTD website for the information of pilgrims and public. He added that donor privileges will also be applied for the new trust as well.
TTD JEO B Lakshmikantham, chief engineer Chandrasekhar Reddy, FACAO O Balaji and other officials took part in the review meet.
