Terror links case deepens as 6th accused produced in Vijayawada court
Vijayawada: In a key development in the ongoing terror links investigation, police on Thursday produced A4 accused Shadman Dilkash before a Vijayawada court, taking the total number of arrests in the case to six. The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court remanded him to judicial custody till April 6, 2026.Dilkash, who was brought from Patna in Bihar, is reportedly a NEET aspirant. His arrest adds a new dimension to the case, as investigators continue to probe alleged links to extremist content shared on social media.So far, police have arrested Sohail Beg, Sharif, Danish, Sayeeda Begum, Abdul Salam and now Shadman Dilkash in connection with the case. According to officials, the accused were tracked for their alleged involvement in circulating and promoting objectionable and anti-national content online.Sources said most of the accused belong to poor and middle-class families and were working as daily wage labourers when they were apprehended by intelligence officials. Investigators are now examining whether they were part of a larger network or acting independently.
Meanwhile, defence counsel Abdul Salim maintained that the case is based on social media activity and said the defence would present its arguments before the court.With multiple arrests and interstate links emerging, the investigation is gaining momentum. Officials indicated that further inquiries are underway to uncover the full extent of the network and any possible connections beyond those already identified.
