TIRUPATI: The two-day adventure sports festival kick-started on a grand note at Horsley hills hill station near Madanapalle in Chittoor district on Saturday.
The event is being organized by
Andhra Pradesh tourism department in coordination with the Chittoor district administration to promote Horsley hills as an adventure sports destination in the district.
Madanapalle sub collector Keerthi Chekuri accompanied by trainee collector Prudhvi Raj, Thamballapalle YSRC legislator Peddireddy Dwarakanath Reddy flagged off the two-day adventure sports festival at Horsley hills on Saturday morning.
As part of the festival, cycling, trekking and running events were flagged off and several sports enthusiasts took part in the Triathlon events held at Horsley hills on day one.
Later in the evening, Madanapalle sub collector Keerthi Chekuri along with Thamballapalle legislator Peddireddy Dwarakanath Reddy gave away cash prizes and medals to the winners of the events.
Handicrafts and handloom stalls at the venue were a special attraction.
