WG dist SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi wins Grihamantri Dakshata Padak

Rajahmundry: West Godavari SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi has been awarded the prestigious Grihamantri Dakshata Padak-2025, announced by the ministry of home affairs. He, along with additional SP Bhima Rao, Bhimavaram Division DSP Jayasurya, and Undi sub-inspector Nasirullah, received the award for solving the critical "dead body parcel" case in West Godavari district. The Centre announced the award on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.In the past, West Godavari district has also received recognition from the Andhra Pradesh government. The case relates to a shocking incident on Dec 19, 2024, when a dead body was delivered to a family in Yandagandi village of Undi mandal. A woman, Sagi Tulasi, who was expecting electrical appliances for her under-construction home, was horrified to receive a wooden box containing a dead body.The entire West Godavari district police force, led by SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi, worked tirelessly, for six days to trace the suspects and solve the case.
