VISAKHAPATNAM: As part of children’s week celebrations, Child Rights Protection Forum (CRPF) conducted a basic needs distribution programme for orphan children at Gnanananda Ramananda ashram in Venkojipalem on Tuesday. Registrar of registrations and stamps, K Manmadha Rao, was the chief guest at the event.


“A pledge for

social service

is required from all sections of the society to uplift orphans and poor children. Everyone should have a social motive to help the poor, unfortunate and orphans for the cause of humanity and to protect child rights,” Manmadha Rao said.

City-based philanthropists B Raja Sekhar, Sai Laxmi, A Bhaskara Rao and Sunitha supplied stationary and items of daily use, such as blankets and toiletries, for the children at the

orphanage

. Appreciating the efforts of CRPF, Manmadha Rao invited the entire society to work hand in hand for the welfare of children.
