Minister Anita accused the opposition leader of having a criminal mind and not considering the well-being of the public, citing the boats’ incident as a perfect example. She suggested that a sedition case should be filed against him, stating, "A leader with a criminal mind would not think about the public. The boats’ incident is the perfect example. A sedition case should be clamped against the opposition leader as he has no right to live in society."
The home minister highlighted that no previous chief minister had provided cleaning services for roads and houses after floods in Andhra Pradesh's history. She also mentioned that the former TDP leader and current YSRCP leader, Gudivada Amaranth, was aware of Chandrababu's workmanship. The government provided food to lakhs of people, and the opposition party is attempting to provoke the public. The minister assured that the government would not spare those responsible for the Budameru flooding.
Minister Anita noted that two cyclones and heavy rains had impacted the entire state, affecting all walks of life. She instructed the collectors to remain alert to natural calamities and not be complacent in relief and protection measures. The authorities were asked to establish permanent toll-free numbers at control rooms and set up Apadamitra teams in villages. Preventive measures should be implemented to avoid any damage to lives or properties during calamities. The irrigation department officials were directed to review the condition of reservoirs and their gates.
The home minister also visited the landslide area in Gopalapatnam along with Visakha West MLA, Ganababu. She stated that a permanent solution would be identified for the people residing on the hill slope areas. A committee would be appointed to investigate the landslide incident and submit a report within 24 hours.
