Kabbadi tourney for persons with dwarfism

Visakhapatnam: A team of 10 persons with dwarfism will represent Andhra Pradesh at the National Para Kabaddi Championship to be held on July 6 and 7, 2019 in Karnataka. The tournament is being organised by the Para Kabaddi Federation of India.
V Ramaswamy, secretary of AP Para Sports Association, said, “To encourage the dwarf people to participate in sports, this tournament is being held for the first time. Teams from eight states are participating including AP, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The championship will be held at Belgaum District Stadium, Karnataka.”
The 10 members are from various districts including one R Ravi from Visakhapatnam, The members have been trained in Vijayawada.
