Saurashtra gain first innings lead

Visakhapatnam: Saurashtra gained first innings lead over Andhra in the Cooch-Behar trophy pre-quarterfinal match at the ACA stadium, Mangalagiri, on Sunday. Saurashtra were 245 for nine at stumps on the second day in reply to Andhra’s 237.

CW meet medals
Two students of the Dr L Bullayya College here won four gold medals each in the Commonwealth powerlifting championships held in Auckland, New Zealand recently. B Anil Kumar and M Durga Prasad won the deadlift, bench press, squat and the total gold medals in the 83 kg category and 93 kg category respectively.
