TV actors Divyanka Tripathi and Ssharad Malhotra have been in the media’s glare for a long time. After being in a hush-hush relationship for 9 years, the couple had finally disclosed their relationship in public last year only to later announce their split ‘mutually’ few months back. Many reasons have been speculated about Divyanka and Ssharad’s break-up and now the actress has finally broken her silence on the reason behind it.

During a media interview, when Divyanka was asked about her break-up, the ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ actress said that it was a difficult phase for her and that she regrets going out of her way for ex Ssharad. Divyanka revealed, “I would not blame him for everything. Actually, I do(laughs). But still, there are certain things which I believe even I was at fault... I used to be very busy. But still I always went out of my way and made time for his family, because I knew he was very close to his family. I was there for him at every hour. I would sleep for lesser hours, just to keep him happy. But the same didn’t apply on him.”

She further added saying, “We women are fools to do so much for the man we love. And we forget to stand for ourselves. Now I ask myself, why did I do all that? The most important lesson I have learnt through this relationship is- don’t ever lose your identity in making others happy.”

The two were linked during the shoot of their debut show, 'Banoo Main Teri Dulhann', in 2006 and admitted their love in 2014 last year. Before they admitted their relationship, Divyanka and Ssharad were spotted together at Vaishno Devi temple. However, Divyanka continued with her denial mode saying Ssharad is her great friend with whom she will continue to hangout.

After Ssharad Malhotra and Divyanka Tripathi finally accepted their relationship, the couple were speculated to tie the knot sometime in this year. However, the two were still contemplating on the decision of getting married this year as their priority was to get settled in their career. All in all it was a very hush hush relationship which finally got revealed after seven years.
