Highlights: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to release the CBSE Board Result 2025 for Classes 10 and 12 in the coming days. Though the official date is yet to be announced, sources indicate the results are likely to be declared between May 7 and May 12, with some reports suggesting a potential release as early as May 2. However, CBSE has not confirmed any specific date and has dismissed viral speculation regarding an early announcement.

This year, a total of 42 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board examinations held across 7,842 exam centres in India and 26 international locations. Of these, 24.12 lakh candidates were from Class 10, while 17.88 lakh were enrolled for Class 12. The Class 10 exams were conducted from February 15 to March 18, while Class 12 papers concluded on April 4, 2025. Practical marks were submitted by schools before the deadline of February 14.

How to access CBSE result 2025: Multiple platforms activated
Once announced, CBSE Class 10 and 12 results will be accessible on the following official websites:

Students can also retrieve their digital marksheets through:
DigiLocker (login with Aadhaar-linked mobile number or school-issued PIN)

To download the results, students will need to enter their roll number, school number, date of birth, and admit card ID.

Online results provisional; Mark sheets from schools mandatory
The results uploaded on digital platforms will be provisional. Students are required to collect their original marksheets and certificates from their respective schools for higher education and documentation purposes.

Performance outlook: Class 10 pass percentage expected above 93%
Based on inputs from various evaluation centres, the 2025 board exams were rated easy to moderate in difficulty. As a result, the Class 10 pass percentage is expected to exceed 93%, while the Class 12 pass rate is projected to remain steady at 87–88%, consistent with trends from 2023 and 2024.

In 2024, the Class 10 pass percentage stood at 93.60%, while Class 12 recorded an overall pass rate of 87.98%. Girls outperformed boys by a significant margin: 91.52% of girls cleared Class 12 compared to 85.12% of boys. The top-performing regions last year included Trivandrum, Vijayawada, and Chennai.

Revaluation window and compartment exam schedule
Students dissatisfied with their marks can apply for rechecking and revaluation, with applications likely to open in late May or early June. Charges will range from Rs 100 to Rs 700, depending on the type of service.

For those who fail in one or two subjects, compartment exams are tentatively scheduled from July 15 to July 22, with the results expected in August 2025.

No topper list, No percentage calculation
CBSE will not release a topper list or calculate overall percentage scores for any student. The board continues to maintain this policy to discourage unhealthy academic competition and shift focus towards learning outcomes rather than rank-based performance.

CBSE has urged students and parents to refrain from relying on unverified sources or social media for result dates. All official updates will be published exclusively through the board's verified portals.
