The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released the notification for Haryana Police Constable recruitment 2026, and the registration window is closing soon on January 25, 2026. The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 5,500 constable posts in the state police force. The posts include male constable (general duty), female constable (general duty), and male constable for Government Railway Police (GRP).
The online application process started on January 11, 2026, interested and eligible candidates can apply now through the official HSSC website. Only candidates who have qualified the HSSC Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group C are allowed to apply. The commission has stated that there is no application fee for any category. Candidates are advised to read the notification carefully before applying.
As per the official notification, a total of 5,500 constable posts have been notified. These include posts for male and female candidates under general duty and posts for male candidates under the Government Railway Police. The category-wise and gender-wise breakup of vacancies has been mentioned in the detailed notification available on the HSSC website.
The commission may revise the number of vacancies if required. Final allotment of posts will be done based on merit, category, and preference filled by the candidates during application.

To be eligible for this recruitment, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and the maximum age should be 25 years, as on January 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Haryana government rules. CET Group C qualification is compulsory for all applicants.
