KVS admissions 2026: 3rd provisional merit list released for Balvatika, Class 1 at kvsangathan.nic.in; direct link here
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the third provisional admission list for Balvatika and Class 1 admissions 2026. Parents and guardians who applied for admission can now check the third merit list through the official websites, which are kvsangathan.nic.in, admission.kvs.gov.in, and education.gov.in/kvs.
Earlier, the KVS released the first admission list on April 9 and 10, followed by the second provisional list on April 16, 2026. The Balvatika lottery result was announced on April 8, while the Class 1 lottery result was declared on April 9, 2026.
Parents whose children have been selected in the third provisional list must complete the admission formalities within the given time. If admission formalities and document verification are not completed within the deadline, the allotted seat will be cancelled automatically.
The Balvatika registration process was conducted from March 20 to April 2, 2026. In case seats remain vacant, offline registrations will be conducted from April 22 to April 26, 2026.
Admissions for Balvatika and Classes 2 onwards were scheduled from April 15 to April 20, 2026. Meanwhile, the last date to complete admissions for all classes, except Class 11, is June 30, 2026. Admissions for Class 11 will begin after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 results are announced.

Admissions to Balvatika and Class 1 are conducted through a computerised lottery system. After the registration process, applications are sorted into different categories such as Right to Education (RTE), service priority, and reserved categories.
A random digital draw is then conducted within each category. Based on the results, provisional selection lists and waiting lists are prepared and released according to the schedule.
For Class 2 and above, admissions are conducted offline depending on seat availability, and separate lists are released by respective schools.

- Visit the official website at kvsangathan.nic.in
- Select the relevant state and Kendriya Vidyalaya from the homepage
- Click on the “Admissions 2026–27” tab
- Select "Balvatika Provisional Selection List 2026" or "Lottery Result 2026"
- Choose the KV region and school from the dropdown menu
- The third provisional list will open in PDF format
- Use Ctrl + F to search your child's registration number

KVS Balvatika admissions 2026: Documents Required
Parents must keep the following documents ready for admission:
- Copy of online registration form
- Date of birth certificate
- Category certificate (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, BPL, EWS, SGC or disability, if applicable)
- Proof of residence (for RTE candidates)
- Aadhaar card of the child
- Blood group report
- For uniformed defence employees: retirement certificate and service certificate showing transfers in the last seven years
