The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration window for the exam National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (NEET UG) 2026 today, March 11, giving candidates a final opportunity to submit their application forms. Aspirants who have not yet applied can complete the process through the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, before the deadline.

Earlier, the application deadline was March 8, but NTA extended it to March 11 after receiving requests from candidates seeking additional time to complete their registrations. As per the official notice, candidates will be able to submit their application forms until 9 pm today, while the fee payment facility will remain available until 11:50 pm.

NEET UG is the national-level entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS and other allied programmes offered by medical institutions across India.

Candidates can follow these steps to complete the application process:

2. Click on the NEET UG 2026 registration link on the homepage.
3. Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
4. Fill in the application form with personal and academic details.
5. Upload the required documents such as photograph and signature.
6. Pay the application fee through the available payment modes.

Eligibility criteria

To appear for NEET UG 2026, candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology along with English from a recognised board. Additionally, applicants must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2026.

With the extended deadline ending today, candidates are advised to complete their registrations well before the closing time to avoid last-minute technical issues on the portal.
