The NTA confirmed it through its official X (formerly Twitter). The examinations are scheduled to be conducted on May 3, 2026 (Sunday). While the NTA recently issued "Exam City Intimation Slips" to alleviate travel anxieties, those documents were merely a preamble. The NTA reported a high success rate in logistics this year, noting that 99.2% of candidates were allotted their first-choice examination city.

The NEET UG 2026 will follow its traditional, high-stakes format. The examination is set to take place in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in a traditional offline (pen-and-paper) mode.
