The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has postponed the Telangana Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TG PGECET) 2026 examination scheduled for May 28, 2026. The decision was taken due to the Bakrid holiday. According to the official announcement, the examination will now be conducted on June 1, 2026.
The council clarified that only the examination date has been changed. There will be no changes in the shift timings or the overall examination schedule for the remaining days. Candidates who were set to appear for the examination on May 28 have been advised to take note of the revised date and prepare accordingly.
As per the revised schedule released by TGCHE, the TG PGECET 2026 examination that was earlier planned for May 28 will now take place on June 1. The authorities said the rescheduling was necessary because of the Bakrid holiday.
Officials also stated that all other examinations will continue according to the previously announced timetable without any modification.
The council confirmed that the examination will continue to be conducted in two separate shifts. The morning shift will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the afternoon shift will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Students have been informed that there will be no alteration in these timings despite the postponement of the examination date.
Candidates appearing for TG PGECET 2026 have been advised to regularly check official announcements related to the entrance examination. Aspirants are also expected to keep their admit cards and examination-related documents ready before the revised test date.
TG PGECET is conducted for admission into postgraduate engineering, pharmacy, architecture and related professional courses offered by universities and colleges in Telangana.
